Broward County Library is hosting a STEAM Maker Festival to conclude a Month of Makers in September. All month long throughout the library system there will be events highlighting the Maker movement.

On September 26th there will be an all day Festival featuring libraries from all over South Florida and beyond, including the Tampa Bay Library Consortium.

Science Technology Engineering Art and Math programs will be featured as well as Makers who come from all walks of life. The day’s activities will include the NSU Art Museum featuring a robot demonstration by the Broward County Sheriff’s department and AutoNation Academy of Art and Design workshops.

image004At the Main Library there will be highlights of the many programs available to the public through South Florida libraries. The day will continue into the night at Flagler Arts and Technology Village with an Art Walk.

Interested in Participating: Want to display your LIBRARY and the maker program, movement or service you offer? Email Bob Anstett or call 954-357-5554 to obtain additional information about having a table set up at the festival on Saturday September 26th.

  • Everyone presenting at the event who is a non-profit or library partner will have a standard 6 foot table for free.
  • Tables will spread throughout the library with paying vendors on the first floor and second floor lobby area. Libraries will be on the 3rd floor and higher
