Training-teaching-learning is at the heart of what contemporary libraries do formally and informally every day. This highly-interactive, results-driven daylong workshop, followed by three one-hour online sessions, is designed to help you hone your own training-teaching-learning skills while learning how to help others develop those same skills.

By the end of the workshop and online sessions, you should:

Be able to draw upon a variety of training-teaching-learning train-the-trainer techniques to provide effective, engaging learning opportunities for those you serve

Have at least three ideas for how you can develop and facilitate train-the-trainer sessions for those you serve

Have a simple first-draft plan to be further developed and used in your own onsite, online, or blended (onsite-online) training efforts—particularly those designed to train other trainers

Goals: Participants, at the end of the session, will be able to explain what successful facilitators do to create a welcoming online environment for meetings and webinars; cite three techniques used to foster engagement in online meetings and webinars; demonstrate familiarity with at least three ways to recover from tech failures during online meetings and webinars; and have at least two ideas they will immediately apply to their own online meetings and webinars.
