TBLC Lunch and Learn: Bok Tower Gardens

Date(s) - 04/10/2020
11:00 am - 1:30 pm

Bok Tower Gardens

Join us for a tour of one of Florida’s most beautiful and unique cultural treasures: Bok Tower Gardens. You have probably heard of Bok Tower Gardens, but did you know that the Tower itself has a library inside? Our tour will include and exclusive trip inside the Tower, which is not open to the Public. Bok Tower librarian Jaime Fogel will show us around the Tower and Library/Archives. After that, we will enjoy lunch and networking in the gardens. After lunch you have the option to tour the newly remodeled Chao Exhibit Hall, listen to a live carillon concert (performed at 1pm and 3 pm), and explore the gardens on your own. The Visitor Center, café, and gift shop close at 5 pm, and the Gardens close at 6 pm.

Please give your name at the gate and that you’re coming for the TBLC tour. Proceed 2 miles down the entrance road to the parking lot. Parking toward the back end of the parking puts you closer to the path to the tower. Parking toward the front ends puts you closer to where you will leave from the Outdoor Kitchen and Visitor Center.

Things to Note:

Please wear comfortable walking shoes.
It is 220 steps up to the bell chamber of the Singing Tower. Not recommended if you are afraid of heights and/or claustrophobic.
Lunch will be provided.

Priority seating will be given to TBLC Members.
