Don’t call it a comeback… basic libraries services haven’t gone anywhere amid the tech-wave of the 21st century, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t seen their fair share of change. In this conference-style event, attendees will get back to the basic core services for libraries and learn about new ways to approach them. Reference, low-tech programming, readers’ advisory and more will be explored and rejuvenated through engaging breakouts.
The event will take place in the John R. Trinkle Center located on the HCC Plant City campus
1206 North Park Road, Plant City, FL 33563
Our keynote speaker will be Jennifer Brannen from Durham County Library presenting A Crash Course in Readers’ Advisory. We’ll also host special guests from Awful Library Books who will present Weed ‘Em and Weep in our final whole-group session.
Cost is $20 to attend, which covers a light breakfast and a deli-style lunch.
PAYMENT PROCEDURE: Each registrant will be billed for the $20 registration fee 14 days prior to the event (or later if registered later). We will send you an invoice via email that you can pay with a credit card or print and pay by check. If you need to be invoiced sooner or as a group, please contact Vickie Frost at firstname.lastname@example.org.
