E-Newsletters: The Secret Tool for your Library’s Success
(Live Online)

Before the advent of email and the internet, print newsletters were a remarkable tool in keeping patrons informed. With today’s technology, a library can create an interactive e-newsletter that is even more powerful. Patrons are able to learn about new items in a collection, the latest news, events, and services, while joining the non-print eco-friendly movement. E-newsletters can have links to additional information, have embedded video or audio files, or even contain interactive forms. In addition, besides purchasing software, e-newsletters do not require much overhead from your already tight budget.

Jorge Perez, St. Petersburg College librarian and organizer of THINK Critical (http://www.spcollege.edu/central/libonline/thinkcritical/index.html)will discuss how to create a winning, attractive e-newsletter using technology. Participants will learn tips and tricks using Publisher and PDF features to create dynamic e-newsletters.
