2009 TBLC Annual Meeting

The 2009 TBLC Annual Meeting will be held at the Tampa Bay History Center – a wonderful new facility housing a very exciting and re-energized regional cultural program. The facility is dazzling – and the organization is a model for how to do collaboration right.

Susan Benton will be the keynote speaker at this year's meeting. Susan was recently named CEO of the Urban Libraries Council. Before taking the ULC position, Susan was Research, Development and Strategic Partners Executive at the International City/County Management Association (ICMA). Susan’s background and experience are particularly valuable in these times when libraries are struggling to convince funders of necessity to fund libraries when all types of services are being cut back and reduced.

Rodney Kite-Powell, Saunders Foundation Curator of History at the Tampa Bay History Center will be our lunchtime speaker.

Directions to the Tampa Bay History Center.

Please park at the St. Pete Times Forum VIP East Lot (marked on the map in purple) and tell the parking attendant that you are with the Tampa Bay Library Consortium. TBLC will be paying for parking for all attendees.

Please make your check payable to TBLC and mail to TBLC at 1202 Tech Blvd., Ste 202, Tampa, FL 33619. Or, we will invoice your library after November 6, 2009. (Sorry we do not accept credit cards).
