TBLC Workshop
Layoffs and Beyond The Follow-up Conversation

If you are attending the 2 sessions on “Layoffs and Beyond,” you know that we are discussing how to help your patrons with their resumes and interviewing skills.

Several of you have already scheduled workshops at your library and in Layoffs and Beyond – The Follow-up Conversation, we’ll be discussing what is working – and what isn’t. What do you have planned? What do you have questions about?

It would be nice to think that we can all offer just one workshop each on resumes and interviewing and that will solve the unemployment issue in our communities. Realistically, of course, that’s not going to happen. Even with Florida’s unemployment rate at its lowest level in 31 months in November at 10% (http://www.floridajobs.org), there are still plenty of patrons who need our help.

So why not join us to find out what best practices other libraries have implemented or maybe just discover a few more tips that will help you be successful in helping patrons polish their job search efforts?

And please bring your tips, questions, and success stories to share!

If you register for this class, we will contact you with log-in information 24 to 48 hours prior to the workshop.
