'10 Books Every Floridian Should Read'

Our speaker will be Jeff Klinkenberg, a reporter for the St. Petersburg Times, who writes about Florida culture, literature and history in his column Real Florida. After working as an adjunct instructor at the University of Florida, his alma mater, he was appointed as the Writer in Residence for the Florida Studies program at the University of South Florida. He has twice been the recipient of the Paul Hansell Distinguished Journalism Award, the highest honor in Florida for journalists. His stories have been nominated for Pulitzer Prizes, and his articles have been published by Audobon, Outside, Travel Leisure and National Wildlife. He is also the author of several books, the most recent being 'Seasons of Real Florida', a collection of essays published in 2004.
