How many of you used to hit the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button when running a search on Google? Maybe you did before they enabled Google Instant, but since they added the enhancement that shows results as you type, there was really no use.
Well it’s time to get excited, because Google is at it again and they have revealed something new!
The “I’m Feeling Lucky” button got a serious makeover! Check out Google when you have a chance to play.
- First, take your cursor and hover over the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button. The button will change every time you move your mouse over it. The button will present a different line starting with “I’m Feeling….” Puzzled, Wonderful, Artistic, Doodley, Hungry, and lot’s more!
- Once you click on the button, it takes you to a different trend or Google service pertaining to that feeling. For example clicking on I’m Feeling Wonderful, takes you to World Wonders Project. The I’m Feeling Playful, takes you to Doodles, Les Paul’s 96th birthday so you can play the guitar.
Share this with your patrons and students in the library. You can surely get lost in all the neat activities. But remember, the library is a place of discovery and creation. Just think what your patrons could learn! Who knows, they could create the next Google Doodle or the next enhancement to Google Earth right from your library!
