Developing the Librare collection is the result of the collaborative effort of all of the participating libraries.
One important project goal for Librare is to develop the collection in a collaborative way a way that enables each library to be a part of the selection process. To do this representatives from all participating libraries are in subject specialist groups, called Selection Teams. Each subject group is responsible for selecting in one subject area. Representatives from the participating libraries self-select the subject area they wish to select in, with care taken to make each subject group as representative of the types of libraries as possible. Each subject group is composed of public and academic library members.
