TBLC provides bibliographic services to libraries located in its eighteen county region through current, retrospective, and special collections cataloging, OCLC batchloading, CatExpress, and workshops.
TBLC works with OCLC to help member libraries maintain their local databases, add holdings to the OCLC WorldCat database (the Florida Catalog), and lend and borrow materials with other libraries in the state, region, and nation.
Workshops
TBLC’s Continuing Education program offers several cataloging workshops each year. Topics have included Introduction to MARC, MARC cataloging for books, serials, videos, sound recordings, and electronic resources, LC classification and subject headings, Dewey classification, and Authority Control. Check the Continuing Education page for quarterly schedules and more information on course offerings.
